Day to day you handle first aid, illness and emergency care, medications, health records, and collaboration with staff, plus state-mandated vision and hearing screens and mandated-reporter assessments. Around you, the district’s stated mission is Grow. Empower. Thrive., with values that name equity, safe environments, respectful communication, and meeting each learner’s needs. It was the first Illinois district to partner with Daybreak for no-cost K-8 teletherapy through clinician referral and received Daybreak’s 2024 Elementary Partner of the Year award. Staff can be named through the Elevate recognition program three times a year.
