Shifts are built around 36 hours with days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend. Day roles rotate across 7a–7p, 11a–11p, or 7p–7a blocks, and night shift rotates as well. When the floor needs help you float, mostly to medical/surgical units where the load can reach four or five patients and telemetry competency is expected. Contracts are written for 13 weeks with room to extend. Starts are often immediate or within one to two weeks of an offer if you already hold a Massachusetts RN license plus AHA BLS and ACLS. If living right in Salem stretches the budget, Beverly, Peabody, and Lynn sit a short drive or rail ride away.
