  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained.
  • Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and tube feeding with precision and care.
  • Document patient care activities meticulously using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions continuously, respond swiftly to acute pain or emergency situations, and provide critical care when needed in settings such as ICU or trauma centers.
  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists in specialties including cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and more.
  • Educate patients and families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and post-acute care strategies to promote recovery and well-being.

*Requirements*

  • Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
  • Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
  • Competency in performing advanced skills such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, laboratory specimen collection/processing, ventilator management, sterile processing techniques, and infection control protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations including emergency room or critical care units while demonstrating excellent patient assessment skills.
  • Familiarity with specialized areas such as dialysis treatment, cardiac catheterization support, neuro or spinal tap procedures, ostomy care, gastrostomy management (G-tube), or neonatal ventilator support is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
