Role Overview
Provides clinical oversight for patient care in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring patient/family-centered care through evidence-based nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities
Conducts assessments, develops, updates, and communicates individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Delivers direct patient care, delegates tasks appropriately, and monitors care quality and safety standards. Utilizes performance indicators and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Educates patients and families, assessing learning needs and ensuring effective communication. Maintains compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and licensure standards. Documents accurately, advocates for patients, and collaborates with the healthcare team for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), with current RN license. Minimum one year of RN experience or completion of a recognized nurse residency program. Strong knowledge of safety protocols, quality improvement, and patient advocacy. Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care effectively.
Additional Notes
This role involves variable shifts and may require working weekends, holidays, and on-call. It reports to a supervisor or manager and focuses solely on clinical responsibilities without management duties.
