Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant, Caregiver, or Med Tech performs direct patient care as instructed by charge nurse in addition to aiding other professional staff.

Because we contract with facilities throughout the Treasure Valley, there is a good possibility that you will be working in different facilities throughout your employment with RNM Staffing. You must have the confidence to work at multiple institutions with minimal on-site orientation.

Working within your scope, you will exercise decisiveness, critical thinking, autonomy, and assertiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide for patient's personal hygiene and assist with activities of daily living.

• Work effectively as a team member in the delivery of care. Maintain good working relations with nursing unit staff and other facility employees through appropriate communication.

• Instill confidence in patients by maintaining a neat appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner.

• Report observations of patients to the nurse caring for the patient to ensure professional assessment.

Additional responsibilities will be discussed upon hire and in accordance with certification and licensure.

Experience

• High school graduate preferred.

• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course

• CNA certified, (Med Tech certified is a plus!!!)

• Previous experience in a long-term care / assisted living facility with acceptable references required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Specialized knowledge

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English (or bilingual). Must have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations and demonstrate excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills, and have the ability to multitask.

High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgement and positively influence others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.

Physical demands of position

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

• Crouch, bend, stoop, lift, and transfer patients using good body mechanics.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diem, PRN Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
