Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with regulatory standards.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.

Required

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Required

Experience

• At least 6 years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health setting.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
