The Battle Creek VA Medical Center is recruiting for a Registered Nurse Float to serve within the Resource Pool Acute Care. The RN provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in multiple care units, administers medications and procedures per established policies, provides evidence-based care, oversees licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants, and assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components. Work schedule is intermittent nights.

Requirements

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • English language proficiency (basic written and spoken English)
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening (urinalysis)
  • Pre-employment physical examination
  • Seasonal influenza vaccination
