Job Title: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort during the recovery process.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-anesthesia.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  • Assess patients' recovery progress and respond to any complications or emergencies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Previous experience in PACU, critical care, or similar nursing environment is an advantage.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
