Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts) Clinic is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day No call, float, or weekend requirements EMR: Epic (Acute Activation access required) Requirements Active RN license in NC or a compact state (may submit with license pending) Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience required; acute oncology or hematology experience will be considered Proficiency in phlebotomy is required Must provide own stethoscope Additional Information Responsibilities include rooming patients, performing phlebotomy, central line care, assisting with bone marrow biopsies, administering vaccinations, performing EKGs, conducting phone triage, facilitating infusion scheduling, providing patient education, and supporting case management Preferred certifications include ONS, BMTCN, or OCN; outpatient oncology clinic experience is preferred Orientation is approximately 24 hours; pre-start modules (4–5 hours for non-acute roles) must be completed prior to start and annually Navy blue scrubs required; not provided by the facility Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 12 months are strongly preferred; references must be on file prior to start Previous permanent, PRN, or EP employees of Novant Health or New Hanover Regional must wait 12 months before being considered as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved if it does not fall on a holiday; no RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible at a local rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply
