- Develop and deliver curriculum content aligned with accreditation standards, including lectures, practical demonstrations, and simulation exercises.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and supervise clinical practice sessions in teaching hospitals or healthcare facilities.
- Assess student performance through exams, skill assessments, and documentation review to ensure competency development.
- Guide students in creating care plans, understanding medical terminology, and applying critical care principles across adult, pediatric, and senior care settings.
- Incorporate learning technology platforms such as Blackboard or LMS (Learning Management System) to enhance instructional delivery and track student progress.
- Supervise students during clinical rotations, providing mentorship and feedback on patient care techniques including phlebotomy, documentation review, and patient assessments.
- Collaborate with nursing administration and faculty to develop curriculum updates that reflect current trends in acute care, ICU practices, and hospital experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, evaluations, and clinical hours while ensuring compliance with educational standards.
*Qualifications*
- Valid LVN or RN license with current certification; prior supervising or nurse management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom experience in higher education or adult education settings with a focus on nursing instruction.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and documentation review processes.
- Experience working in teaching hospitals or clinical environments such as ICU, acute care units, primary care clinics, or pediatric wards.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms like Blackboard or other learning technology tools used for curriculum delivery.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum content and adapt teaching methods for diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students and foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Background in research or nursing administration is a plus; familiarity with hospital experience and working with students on care plans is highly valued.
