About this role
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
The Adult Internal Medicine Unit cares for medicine patients ranging from young adults to the elderly presenting with a wide variety of diagnoses including pulmonary, gastrointestinal, sickle cell, renal failure, medical-psychological, and endocrine conditions, as well as infectious disease processes, continuous video camera monitoring and cardiac telemetry.

Requirements
- Two (2) years recent RN clinical experience (within the last two years) in a Medical/Surgical acute care unit
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
- BSN (preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
- Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
