Acute care hospital setting on the PCU/Telemetry unit
Adult patient population with acute medical conditions including cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, and pulmonary cases
Patient ratio of 1:5
Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
Every other Saturday required, off every Sunday
Meditech charting system preferred
Requirements

Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or Telemetry nursing experience required
Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration preferred
Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration) preferred
Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias preferred
Wound care/wound vac and tracheostomy care experience preferred
Must be able to pass a fit test, which requires shaving unless a pre-approved medical exemption is obtained
Zero-tolerance drug policy in place, including no acceptance of medical marijuana cards

General RN orientation occurs every other Monday
