The Manager of Quality and Risk - Broward will oversee and manage initiatives related to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management. This role is dedicated to the Broward market and will be part of and supported by the Quality Division. Responsibilities include developing quality improvement programs, ensuring clinical risk management functions are coordinated, leading safety culture efforts, investigating safety events, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, supervising department staff, and managing fiscal responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) – maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
  • Registered Nurse Licensure within the State of Florida or Multi-State Enhanced Nursing License Compact (eNLC) – maintain active and in good standing throughout employment; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification required within 18 months of hire; 2-4 years of experience in a management/supervisory position; 3-5 years of experience in Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and/or Risk Management activities; Master's Degree preferred; CPHQ preferred at time of hire; Five years clinical experience in a hospital setting, pediatrics preferred; Knowledge of applicable Florida/federal statutes; Knowledge of data analysis and statistics; Skilled in quality improvement tools and practices; Knowledge of Peer Review practices; Knowledge of clinical pathways; Knowledge of internal and public quality score-carding and benchmarking; Demonstrated expertise in promoting patient safety in a complex environment
