Grand Junction sits on Colorado's Western Slope, where high-desert mesas meet vineyard-dotted valleys. Nurses drawn to outdoor recreation will find easy access to Colorado National Monument and Fruita's mountain-biking trails, plus a slower pace than the Front Range. It's a practical choice for those who want affordable living paired with weekend adventures.

Worth asking

The posting doesn’t answer these. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.

  • Can you walk me through differentials?
  • What should I expect for weekly hours, holiday, call, and rotation?
  • What orientation, preceptor time, and ongoing unit support are included?
  • How are patient load, floating, and staffing support handled day to day?
