The Registered Nurse (RN) performs various nursing functions to provide care, treatment, and welfare of clients in our services. This includes medication administration, transcription, observation, and reporting of patients' physical and mental status, and documentation of patient care services. This compassionate, caring, and supportive team member will connect with individuals to support and provide optimum healthcare and contribute to the overall well-being of members of the community living with mental health challenges.

- Provide medication, education, training, and support to patients and families in care.
- Participate in establishing and maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
- Contribute to seminars and meetings for professional growth and improved communication within the team.
- Provide guidance for the direct care staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic treatment atmosphere.
- Provide training to the direct care staff regarding essential nursing care interventions, facility policy and procedure, and management guidelines.
- Observes, oversees, and monitors the use and implementation of Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) interventions. Ensures that PMAB methods are implemented appropriately and safely and that all PMAB interventions are documented per policy.
- Ensure infection control, security, and safety measures are followed.
- Write and document articulately while using correct grammar so that documentation is clear and valuable.
- Educate and instruct individuals served.
You'll definitely need
- Nursing degree (Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's in Nursing).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas
- Maintain valid Texas state Driver's License and auto insurance.
- Complete and maintain both CPR certification and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training within the first 3 months of employment.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite.

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Sustain a calm demeanor when under pressure to handle sometimes difficult situations.
- Provide exemplary customer service and care to individuals with their best interests at heart.
- Complete and maintain both CPR certification and Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior training.
