About this role

REGISTERED NURSE OB/Nursery. POSITION: RN. DEPARTMENT: OB/Nursery.

STATUS: FULL-TIME. HOURS: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM-(Nights). The OB/Nursery RN will perform the primary functions of a registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the department.

Responsible for antepartum, intrapartum, post-partum, and newborn care. Responsible for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Participates in performance improvement activities.

Supervisory responsibilities include managing assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment and overseeing daily workflow. Duties include head-to-toe assessment on all patients including neonates, neonate assessment at delivery and resuscitation per NRP guidelines, medication administration, individualized care planning, fetal monitoring, assisting physician with procedures in labor/delivery/postpartum/newborn nursery, documentation, psychosocial support, HIPAA compliance, and departmental/hospital policy adherence.

  • Completion of RN program from an accredited college
  • BCLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • NRP Certification
  • Successful completion of Fetal Monitoring and Breastfeeding Courses
