Responsibilities
- Provide pre-procedural preparation and post-procedural recovery for interventional radiology patients, including overnight observation when needed
- Deliver care for IR patients undergoing CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, and ultrasound procedures; support GI postprocedural care as applicable
- Monitor telemetry and respond to patient needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Prepare, care for, and discharge patients boarding overnight for pre/post procedures; document care and progress
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and accurate clinical documentation; escalate concerns per protocol
- Demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment
Requirements
- Current New York RN license (active)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Registered IR nursing experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology setting within a level 1 trauma center
