Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients in Med/Surg and PCU units, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Float to Med/Surg and PCU as needed; apply safe patient-handling techniques and utilize lifts as required
- Respond to emergencies, participate in rounds, and assist with admissions, discharges, and procedures
- May assume charge nurse duties as assigned and uphold patient safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Current New York RN license
- BLS certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire)
- Coronary Care experience required
- Minimum 1 completed traveler assignment; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to float to Med/Surg and PCU; previous hospital RN experience preferred
