The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital. The Licensed Practical Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. The Licensed Practical Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

Retention Bonus: This position is eligible for our retention bonus program (eligible after completion of sign-on bonus); current retention bonus for RNs is $10,000

$1 added to base rate of pay if bilingual (must pass a language assessment; eligible to take assessment after completing first 30 days)

Requirements

The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred. Licensure and registration by the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.
