Description: Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is accepting applications for a Substitute School Nurse to provide nursing services to students in the absence of the regularly assigned school nurse.
Requirements
Valid and registered Illinois R. N. License. School Nurse Certification also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and specialized health procedures in accordance with applicable laws, physician orders, and district procedures.
- Monitor students with diabetes and provide care in accordance with their individual diabetes care plans.
- Provide first aid and other health-related services to students.
- Assess student health concerns and determine appropriate follow-up or referral.
- Respond to health emergencies and implement appropriate emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
- Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and health care providers as appropriate.
- Follow district health policies, procedures, and applicable Illinois requirements.
- Perform other health-related duties as assigned.
Salary: $40-50 per hour.
