About this role
Wound Care Medical Assistant, EMT, or LPN (part-time hours) 15-20 hours per week Monday-Friday. Rio Grande Hospital Wound Care (Del Norte & Monte Vista) is looking for MA, EMT, or LPN to assist with wound care treatments, rooming patients, documenting and prior authorizations for imaging. Assessment and treatments for nursing visits. Assist with HBO patients. Assist with ABI testing.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified Medical Assistant (MA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Equipment Knowledge: Computer knowledge and use of electronic medical records.
Experience
Experience in wound care and experience in treatment options.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have verbal skills to present information and ideas essential to supervisory duties and to understand general wound care and practice; capable of dealing with people and working closely with patients; workable knowledge of safety procedures; must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member; must be willing to learn.
