About this role
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit at Lakeside Behavioral Health System, consistent with ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care. Responsibilities include prescribing, coordinating, and delegating nursing care utilizing the nursing process integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The RN is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and may assume Charge Nurse responsibilities.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred), one-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred, licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse, and knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and CPR training.
