About this Job: MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Cardiovascular Operating Room RN Previous OR experience required Join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, home to one of the nation's top cardiac programs. This specialized team cares for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic procedures, providing an exciting opportunity to build advanced perioperative skills in a high-acuity environment. Our nurses work alongside experienced cardiovascular and vascular surgeons, caring for patients undergoing open heart surgery, vascular procedures, catheter-based valve procedures, thoracic surgeries, and more. Previous OR experience is required , and nurses in this role will scrub and circulate a variety of cardiovascular cases while working as part of a highly collaborative surgical team. This position offers a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday , with on-call and holiday call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Qualifications • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required. • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred. • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). This position has a hiring range of : USD $36.50 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
