Position Purpose

General Job Description

Delivers basic to advanced nursing care to patients in Interventional Radiology (IR), Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Cath Lab, and EP Lab. Administers medications, provides conscious sedation, and intra-procedural monitoring of patients status while undergoing procedures in IR, non-invasive Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine, Cath Lab, and EP Lab.

Actively involved with assessment, planning, care, and education of patients and staff who undergo diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures within the department; willing to learn and/or expand skills in the insertion and management of advanced vascular access. Services are provided in accordance with industry standards, departmental-protocols, and hospital policies and procedures.

Education and Work

Experience

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required, bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Six months of clinical experience in one of the following areas is required, preferably in CCU, ED, Adult Critical Care, or Telemetry. Knowledge and
