Summary

The Manager of Ambulatory Practice, Cancer Center assumes leadership responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned departments within the cancer center. They work closely with the clinical and administrative director, medical director, staff, and organizational leaders to ensure efficient and effective delivery of cancer services. The Manager of Ambulatory Practice is responsible for managing departmental budgets and daily productivity, implementing operational policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Additional responsibilities include; participating in the hiring, scheduling, training and collaboration of the team within the Cancer Center and the Onvida Health system; fosters an open working environment for easy access to express ideas and concerns; demonstrates and expects open communication, promotes an environment that's open and collaborative while keeping the team focused on common goals; builds trust and encourages teamwork, creates an environment where employees feel empowered and valued. They also play a key role in strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements processes that assure the viability of existing programs, standardize practice patterns and optimize physician productivity; develops key performance indicators to benchmark practice performance; analyzes patient demand and develops a schedule that optimizes the use of the practice's resources to meet patient care standards and service expectations.

Responsible for overall supervision of Medical Oncology Clinic and Infusion areas. Acts as a liaison between staff, providers, and other departments within the organization. Participates in committees that directly influences the quality of cancer care.

In collaboration with the Administrative Director of the Cancer Center, monitors the financial performance of assigned cost centers, compliant with department productivity standards, and assists with budget projections for the fiscal year.

Accountable to provide human resource management for area of responsibility including, but not limited to: Ensuring appropriate staff are available to meet the needs of the department and performance evaluations are completed as expected.

Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, initiates process improvement plans to improve patient care, and takes action to provide a culture that supports a healthy work environment.

Accountable for collaborating and coordinating with the Patient Scheduling and Access team to ensure accurate and timely entering of charges. Denials are reviewed in a timely manner and information is provided to support successful charge capture.

Develop and implement a dynamic and efficient business infrastructure that allows on-going integration of all clinical processes. Works collaboratively with cancer center leaders and other leaders to support the mission and vision of Onvida Health. Follows up on all patient complaints to support a positive resolution.
