Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry for a 13-week contract opportunity in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2+ years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience and strong acute-care hospital experience. Telemetry experience is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Requirements
Active RN license — current or conditional Massachusetts RN license required for submission
Minimum 1–2+ years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
Telemetry experience required
Acute-care hospital experience required
Current AHA BLS certification required
AHA ACLS preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Charge RN experience highly preferred
Must be willing to float as required
Must work every other weekend
Must work every other major holiday
Flu vaccination required during flu season

Two recent MS/Telemetry Charge RN, Manager, or Supervisor references

Additional Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in clinical condition.
Provide direct nursing care to acute-care MedSurg/Telemetry patients.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs and promptly escalate significant changes.
Administer medications and IV therapies safely according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies.
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination.
Support safe patient care while floating to other appropriate units as required.
Orientation
Hospital orientation will be followed by two shifts on the unit with a preceptor .
Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,050.00 per week
