American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down unit position requiring compact/LA RN licensure and prior travel assignment experience.
Details
- Step Down unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes pre-liver transplant, acute/chronic liver failure, end stage renal disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, acute/chronic respiratory failure, and heart failure cases
- Unit provides hospice care and immunoglobulin therapy
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
- Floating required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (LA state or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Prior travel nursing assignment experience required

Additional Information
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring the nurse to remain onsite or serve as part of a relief team until the event concludes
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO must be disclosed on the profile and discussed during the interview to avoid risk of offer rescission
