Registered Nurse position in the Acute Care Resource Pool (ACRP) at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. RNs deliver professional nursing care to age-specific patients in the Acute Care Inpatient Division, which includes a 30-bed Medical Oncology unit, an 11-bed Cardiac unit, a 17-bed medical surgical unit, and a 30-bed medical surgical unit. The ACRP RN is used as an adjunct throughout acute care areas to ensure each unit is adequately staffed. Work schedule is 36 hours a week with 12-hour NOC shifts (1930-0800), including weekend/holiday rotation and on-call requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • English language proficiency
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the U.S. or D.C.
  • Background/security investigation
  • Drug screening (urinalysis)
  • Pre-employment physical examination
  • Selective Service Registration (males born after 12/31/1959)
