The ideal candidate will be trustworthy and compassionate, and will
- Possess an LPN degree from an accredited school of nursing and current state license.
- Possess CPR/AED and First Aid certification (as per state requirements if it must be kept current).
- Have 1-2 years’ experience working with older adults in a health care setting; geriatric mental health a plus.
- Enjoy being part of a team, as this person will work closely with a team of nurses to design and implement care plans for each resident
- Help oversee the care staff and assist them in making educated care decisions
- Possess a willingness to continue learning and improving skills, as well as a commitment to confidentiality
- Willingness to support the care team on the floors
- Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors
- Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers
