About this role
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week night shift Med/Surg Tele assignment in Arizona, requiring telemetry strip interpretation skills and experience with surgical and neurological patient populations. Acute care hospital setting on a 48-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit. Patient population includes COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetics, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM. Every other weekend required. Length: 13 weeks. Start Date: Aug 24, 2026.

Active AZ RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license currently in hand; pending licenses will not be accepted
Driver's license required for consideration
Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
Active AZ RN license or Compact (NLC) RN license currently in hand; pending licenses will not be accepted
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; pending certifications will not be accepted
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Experience reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips required
Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA required
Must pass the Relias Dysrhythmia exam (basic or advanced) before an offer can be confirmed
A driver's license is required for consideration
2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
