Registered Nurse

• Provides guidance, training, and support to employees and residential staff regarding health and wellness. • Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training programs, and professional seminars to keep abreast of changes in legislation, nursing techniques, etc. • Will serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary team. • Completes nursing assessments on assigned caseloads as required by regulations and agency policy. • Assures control of communicable diseases and infections by identification and assessment, and implementation of appropriate protective and preventative measures. • Will minimally maintain weekly communication with the Residence Manager or designee and will maintain weekly visits to assigned programs. • Will review all medical consults, changes in individuals' conditions, and any new medical policies and procedures. Other Responsibilities Include: • Make initial first aid assessment of employees when injured on the job. • Responsible for maintaining NYS Driver's License. • Perform related tasks as directed by supervisor. Job Specifications: EDUCATION: • Associates degree or BS in Nursing and successful completion of the State Board Examination for licensing. EXPERIENCE: • Graduate nurse with RN license required. • Some experience is preferred but not required. • Client has a Comprehensive training program. Show more Show less
