Travel Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Job

• Work setting: Short-term acute care environment in Hanford, CA

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN or MD, following established policy and the nursing process.
• Perform admission assessments and ongoing re-assessments per departmental policy; contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
• Implement and coordinate the plan of care, using organizational skills and reporting mechanisms; participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Conduct selected clinical procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, injections, drug screens) and administer medications as directed.
• Order/restock supplies within established par levels; maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas (pre-op, PACU, corridors, and related spaces).
• Document care and activities; support clinical operations with accurate reporting; experience with EPIC and Cerner is preferred.
• Uphold aseptic technique and safety practices; respond to patient needs promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in California.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in a relevant setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced short-term acute care environment.
• Arrhythmia certification preferred.
• EPIC and Cerner experience preferred but not required.
