Working as a member of Whitney Academy’s nursing team, your responsibilities include transcribing Doctors’ orders, attending interdisciplinary team meetings, infection control, meeting students’ basic health care needs, medication administration and on-call rotation.
Whitney Academy, Inc. is a nationally recognized residential treatment center with sites in Freetown, Assonet and Dighton Massachusetts. Whitney Academy serves adolescent boys who are cognitively impaired, have a major psychiatric diagnosis and, histories of sexualized behavioral issues. School Nurse - RN/LPN (Monday-Friday)
Responsibilities Include
- Medication Administration
- Transcribe Doctors’ Orders
- Implement medication policy and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all infection control standards
- Meeting students’ basic health care needs
- Attending Interdisciplinary Team meetings
- On-call Rotation
- Training and motivating team members
- Function as a Healthy & Therapeutic Role Model
- Coach and Supervise Staff
