About this role

FirstMed Ambulance is actively seeking full-time and part-time CCT RNs to satisfy the growing demand for Critical Care Transports for all our stations throughout Los Angeles County.

Critical Care Transport Nurses will provide continuous level of critical and respiratory care services to patients that are being transported by an ambulance.

Requirements

  • Current license in good standing as a Registered Nurse as required by the state.
  • *Minimum of 2 years experience employed more than 96 hours per year* in critical care setting within the last 18 months
  • Current CPR issued by the AHA or Red Cross
  • Current ACLS provider card
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) card.
  • Current state Driver's License in good standing
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.
  • Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.
  • Satisfactorily meet Company physical assessments/tests.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends

*Preferred:*

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and/or
  • Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN)

  • Recent ICU, MICU, SICU, PACU, ER: 1year (Required)
  • CCT Experience Preferred
