About this role
*Position Summary*
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing the clinical and operational functions of our independent multispecialty surgery center. The ADON ensures high standards of patient safety, oversees perioperative and recovery nursing workflows, maintains regulatory compliance, and steps in seamlessly during the DON’s absence. This is a excellent opportunity for someone with OR management experience who seeks mentorship to advance to the next level of leadership.

- *Leadership Support:* Partner with the DON to organize, direct, and monitor daily nursing operations across pre-op, operating rooms (OR), and post-anesthesia care units (PACU).
- *Staff Management:* Assist with scheduling, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing clinical coaching for registered nurses and surgical techs.
- *Quality & Compliance:* Maintain strict adherence to AAAHC/JCAHO guidelines, OSHA standards, and state health regulations.
- *Multispecialty Coordination:* Work with diverse surgical teams (e.g., orthopedics, neurosurgery, pain management, plastic surgery) to guarantee specialized equipment and staffing are ready.
- *Patient Advocacy:* Address and resolve patient or physician grievances rapidly, promoting a culture of safe, high-quality care.

Licensure
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.

Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) or operating room supervisory/leadership role.
- *
Certifications
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; CNOR preferred.
Pay: $92,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
