Role
Overview
Provides proficient patient care in obstetric and neonatal settings, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well newborn, and neonatal intensive care. Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to optimize outcomes, collaborating across disciplines, and providing education tailored to patients and families. May precept students and new staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
Responsibilities
Deliver complex obstetric and neonatal care Coordinate patient care, transfer, discharge, and psychosocial support Monitor, document, and communicate patient status Assess learning needs and provide education Work independently in a fast-paced environment with critical thinking and decisive judgment
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Minimum 6 months Women and Infants nursing experience or completion of a fellowship
Certifications
NRP within 30 days, ACLS within 3 months, BLS prior to start Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
