Registered Nurse

The nurse will provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment, including assessment, medication administration, symptom management, and treatment coordination. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, implementing provider orders, educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and self-care, and documenting care accurately in the electronic health record. The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, social workers, and other team members to support personalized care plans.

Additional tasks include participating in quality and safety initiatives, adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory standards, and contributing to a supportive, respectful workplace culture. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina or eligibility for NC licensure. Experience in oncology, medical-surgical, or acute care nursing; oncology certification (e.g., OCN) is a plus.

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Comfort with electronic health records and basic computer skills to document care and access clinical information.

Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain organized, and respond calmly in urgent or high-stress situations. Demonstrated compassion, cultural sensitivity, and respect for diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred); willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education. GYN Experience Preferred (not required)
