About this role

Chino Valley Medical Center is a 112-bed community hospital established in 1972 and centrally located in Southern California's Chino Valley. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Out Patient Services setting. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians, Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers about changes in the patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist, directs and guides other personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Out Patient Department. Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures.

Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
  • ACLS within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • PALS within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
  • Previous acute care hospital experience (preferred)
  • Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire
