Eat Buford Highway, North Highland, Westside Provisions, or Decatur’s square—eight Michelin stars and lemon-pepper-wet wings in one metro. Housing is not cheap: listings near $425,000, in-town condos from the $400,000s, Ellenwood and South Fulton the first-buyer math, rents around $1,540. You will likely own a car. Mild winters and patios from March into December are the pitch; traffic, uneven schools, and pocket-level safety are the tradeoffs. Live next to the hospital, not 40 miles out.
