Duties
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Fort Smith Family Medical Center. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the highest quality Patient and Family-Centered Care within the clinic. Manage the patient flow processes, and promote wellness, improved outcomes, and self-care among a defined patient population. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in providing support, education, and assistance to patients who have chronic conditions, helping them prevent and maintain their health.

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing Valid RN License Minimum of one (1) year Registered Nursing experience. Will consider RN with two (2) years of LPN clinical experience.

Clinic or Ambulatory Setting experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ability to work independently and maintain high-quality care, and the application of policies will be required. Good communication skills (written and oral). Excellent customer service skills. Problem-solving skills. Leadership and collaborative skills. Strong patient advocacy and patient education skills. Strong organizational skills and computer knowledge. Professional and courteous telephone etiquette. General knowledge of office machines, including printers, fax machines, and scanners. Understanding basic medical terminology is necessary.
Responsibilities
Triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and patient education either by telephone or within the UAMS Clinic. Delivers nursing care according to standards as defined by UAMS, American Nurses Association (ANA), AR State Board of Nursing (ASBN), and those set forth by nursing specialty organizations. Coordinates care and/or follow-up for patients who receive care in inpatient and outpatient facilities.
Implements patient care using an approach that is interdisciplinary and Patient and Family-Centered Care. Effectively collaborates and communicates with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders. May perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of UAMS.
