Position Summary

The Certified Nurse Aide, under the supervision of an RN or LPN, performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Certifications

Must be licensed by the state of Virginia ; BCLS preferred. Handled with care is preferred. Knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
