Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting within scope of practice
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under supervision; document administrations accurately
- Monitor vital signs, assess resident status, identify changes, and report findings to the supervising nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living; promote safety, mobility, skin integrity, and fall prevention
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and update care plans; participate in handoffs and care conferences
- Maintain accurate charting in the electronic health record and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- CPR/BLS certification
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
- Ability to work in a long-term care/assisted living setting and across shifts
- Ability to pass a routine background check and drug screening
