About Casa Grande Academy
Casa Grande Academy is a residential treatment program that serves youth with behavioral health and substance use disorders. Casa Grande Academy is a 32-bed behavioral health inpatient facility (BHIF) licensed by the State of Arizona and accredited by the Joint Commission. The program offers intensive therapeutic services for youth needing specialized and comprehensive treatment when appropriate services may not be available in an outpatient setting. Our environment of care provides a trauma-informed treatment setting through which recovery and resiliency are promoted for life-changing success.

Schedule
Minimum of 2 to 4 shifts a month and one must be a weekend shift. 12-hour shifts
Position
Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, monitors physical aspects of the client's health needs, including responses to medication and treatments. Provides health counseling and crisis intervention for clients. Assists in the maintenance of a therapeutic environment. Assist the Director of Nursing as requested.
Requirements
Skills & abilities
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Experience
Two years nursing experience of direct patient care experience with children and adolescents, preferably in an in-patient residential setting.
Computer
Skills
Basic computer skills.
Certifications & Current RN license issued by the State Board of Nursing.

Interpersonal skills to work as an integral part of a team.
Appropriate interpersonal/personal boundaries.
Maturity of behavior and judgment.
Ability to remain flexible to accommodate changes in work schedule.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of students and peer.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to read and interpret health and case assessments.
Must possess initiative and judgment capabilities to organize and plan activities and follow student’s schedule.
Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
Must be experienced in adolescent growth and behavior.
Must possess the ability to identify socially appropriate behaviors
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
