all local households, not nurse pay
Kansas index 90.1, where 100 is the national average.
Garden City sits in southwestern Kansas on the Arkansas River, a regional hub for agriculture and meatpacking with a surprisingly diverse community. The town offers a quiet, small-city pace with wide prairie skies and easy access to Lee Richardson Zoo. A practical landing spot for nurses who prefer open space and a tight-knit local feel over urban bustle.

Worth asking
We can’t answer these from the listing we have. Good ones to ask a recruiter or in the interview.
- Can you walk me through base pay range and sign-on bonus repayment terms?
- What should I expect for weekend, holiday, call, and rotation?
- What orientation, preceptor time, and ongoing unit support are included?
- How are patient load and staffing support handled day to day?
