Position Overview
As an RN Supervisor – Transfer Center, you will lead daily nursing operations, collaborate with management, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards. This leadership role focuses on patient-centered care, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily administrative and clinical activities to ensure high-quality patient care. Develop, revise, and implement department policies aligned with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with hospital regulations and standards, including The Joint Commission.
Supervise and mentor staff: scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and issue resolution. Support educational initiatives, research, and process improvement projects. Apply Lean principles to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Assist with annual staffing and budget planning, including capital equipment needs. Communicate effectively with leadership, physicians, families, and other departments. Conduct regular nursing rounds and provide direct patient care when necessary.
Maintain accurate records, inventory, and reporting databases.
Qualifications & Skills Current RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain). Strong knowledge of nursing standards, patient care procedures, and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration, and ethical practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Ability to train, evaluate, and manage staff effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
