Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with strong primary care experience, community clinic experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, furnishing number, DEA registration, and Medi-Cal experience.

*Responsibilities*

• Provide primary care services to patients in a clinic setting
• Perform patient assessments, exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Manage routine primary care visits, preventive care, and follow-up care
• Support care for common chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
• Order and review labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests as appropriate
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations
• Document patient visits accurately in the EHR/EMR system
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, prevention, and lifestyle changes
• Coordinate care with medical assistants, front desk staff, and outside providers
• Follow clinic policies, HIPAA guidelines, and quality standards
• Help support the growth and workflow development of a new community clinic

*Qualifications*

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
• Family Nurse Practitioner certification required
• Furnishing number required or strongly preferred
• DEA registration preferred
• Primary care, family medicine, or community clinic experience preferred
• Experience with Medi-Cal or underserved patient populations is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Comfortable working in a new clinic environment
• Reliable, organized, and able to work as part of a team
• EHR/EMR experience preferred
