*Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated Regional Travel Nurse Practitioner to join our team in North Carolina. As a Travel Nurse Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work in various facilities across different locations in Virginia, providing care to diverse patient populations. 30-, 60-, and 90-day assignments. This full-time position is Monday through Friday.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the successful management and care coordination of their assigned patient population. Universal Health provides extensive training, shadowing opportunities and Medical Director oversight to ensure all Nurse Practitioners are prepared and supported with the resources necessary to meet the needs of their patients. Successful candidates will be energetic, efficient, have great communication skills and able to work independently.
*Job duties* include but are not limited to
- Coordinate and deliver exceptional and appropriate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, collaborating physicians, and the Director of Nursing (DON) regarding patient care.
- Conduct patient rounds, contribute to daily care decisions, write orders, and facilitate scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Record daily visit notes in an electronic medical record in a timely manner, with dictation services available.
- Maintain accurate records related to professional services, including attending to billing reports, claims, and correspondence.
- Provide services as requested by UHC or as required by bylaws, policies, rules, or regulations of UHC or any affiliated healthcare facility.
*Experience and Qualifications*
- Nursing experience in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, ICU, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, or General Practice preferred
- Minimum one-year experience required
- Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner License and unencumbered DEA License, required
- Strong skills in medical documentation and patient assessment.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
