Per Diem Outpatient Surgery Center Nurse – Pre/Post Op. Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Per Diem Outpatient Surgery Center Nurse specializing in pre-operative and post-operative care. Responsibilities

Assess patients' health status before surgery and prepare them for procedures; Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during pre-operative and post-operative phases; Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and recovery processes; Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records; Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care; Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies during the perioperative period.

Requirements

  • RN
  • NJ RN
  • Valid NJ RN license
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Outpatient surgery experience preferred
  • Pre-op and post-op nursing experience preferred
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia protocols, and infection control standards
