Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. The DON will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care.
Key
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursing department, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations. Oversee patient care plans and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Manage budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation within the nursing department. Stay current with industry trends and ensure best practices in patient care. Act as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and patients' families.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required Active RN license in the state of New Jersey. Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in a long-term care setting. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
