Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Position summary

Works under the direction of a licensed nurse to assist in meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients in a professional and timely manner. Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Position provides direct care with limited invasives procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency. Must possess competency in use of technology and computers.

• Previous care giving experience preferred. Must have the ability to demonstrate basic care giving skills and essential job functions.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Must successfully complete "Handle with Care" within 6 months of hire/transfer, and annually thereafter.

• Must have effective communication and time management skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports patient welfare, safety and security to RN.
